This easy homemade spaghetti and tomato sauce can be made using your favorite jarred sauce! Add some extra veggies and parmesan and basil for a great finish.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain, rinse, and set pasta aside in another bowl.
In the same pot, add the olive oil and saute the garlic and onions for 5 to 6 minutes. Add in the tomato sauce, and simmer for 20 minutes until the onions are cooked through.
Add the pasta back into the pot with the tomato sauce, and toss well to combine. Stir in fresh basil and parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
